Director of Operations

Skills and Knowledge
The Director of Operations (DOO) oversees the day-to-day activities of the school, usually at the direction of the Board of Directors. The DOO sets parameters to judge how efficiently and effectively the school is operating. The DOO will enforce, review, and evaluate policies and procedures such as discipline, staff performance and concerns, office management, and facilities oversight. Accordingly, the DOO will be responsible for overseeing corrective action plans involving student behavior or scholastic performance. Key skills include management, decision-making, problem-solving, delegation, business, finance, and interpersonal and communication skills.

Work Environment
The DOO ensures that a school’s everyday activities run smoothly. The DOO sets parameters to judge how efficiently and effectively the school is operating. The DOO will enforce, review and evaluate policies and procedures ranging from discipline, staff performance and concerns, office management to facilities oversight. Accordingly, the DOO will be responsible for overseeing corrective action plans involving student behavior or scholastic performance.

The DOO reports jointly and is evaluated by the School Board of Directors and the Director of Education.

Education
Bachelor’s Degree in business, finance, or a related field; MBA typical

Experience
Experience in operations

Other Requirements:

CPR/First Aid certification/FEMA training (within 30 days)

CBI/FBI fingerprint clearance and background check (pre-employment)

Be physically strong and able to lift at least 50 pounds
