Hiking Club – Mica Mine

The inaugural hike of the MVMCS Hiking Club will hit up the Mica Mine Trail from the Bangs Canyon Trailhead in Grand Junction. We will meet in the parking lot at 1 pm on Saturday, January 25, 2020: https://goo.gl/maps/
Weather on Saturday afternoon is predicted to hit between the mid-30s and low 40s, so please come prepared with layers – particularly gloves and a hat, and warm, sturdy shoes. Please also bring a pack with water and snacks. One or both of our hike leaders will carry a first aid kit.
The trail, rated as “easy,” is about 2.6 miles round trip. There is a pit toilet in the parking lot, so please be sure to hit that up before starting the hike! If you have any questions, please contact Cindy Burns at 303-579-1274 or Andy Nienke at 619-366-6360.
